Step-by-Step Guide

Choose your business name

Select a unique name that reflects your business. Avoid names already in use or names that are too similar to existing businesses.

Check name availability

Visit the Deeds and Commercial Registry office in Georgetown to confirm your chosen name is available for registration.

Complete the registration form and attach documents

Complete the registration form and attach a copy of your National Identification Card (front and back) and a copy of your TIN.

Pay the registration fee

Pay the registration fee. New registrations cost GYD 5,000. Renewals cost GYD 2,500.

Collect your certificate

Return to collect your Certificate of Registration. Keep this document safe as you will need it for all other registrations and applications.
